Fly

We love the art of fly fishing here. As well as the traditional trout fishing with light rods, we use up to 10wt for larger pike flies, and ultra fast sinking lines in the salt for reef-dwellers. We do a lot of lure and bait fishing too though when conditions suit.

Argyll is home to literally hundreds of lochs and lochans all stuffed with wild brown trout. Many of the larger lochs also contain pike, our largest freshwater predator.

I had a 1:1 learn to fly fish day with Adam at Loch Nant. I knew it was going to be fun when he laughed at a very poor dad joke early on. His knowledge, good humour, attentiveness and persistence meant I had a great day and learned a lot. And he made sure I got the most out of the day even if the fish were being elusive. Definitely worth the trip and the money. :)

Our day fishing with Adam was the highlight of our trip in Scotland. We went trout fishing in a river (me with no experience at all and my boyfriend who already knows how to fish) and we both managed to catch beautiful trouts! This experience was the best fishing day ever for the both of us. Adam is funny, easy-going and a great person overall. I highly recommend booking his services!

Hey Adam. We weren't aware we were featured in your BLOG. Thank you for that. We thoroughly enjoyed our first time fly fishing in the Glencoe area. You were very good at helping us both learn to fly fish for the first time....and we both caught fish. We had a terrific time!!
